Our Model of Care
Our Healing Connections approach
First Nations children who grow up strong in culture develop confidence, pride, and a sense of security and belonging to guide and protect them through adolescence and to adulthood.
Together with the Australian Childhood Foundation, we developed the Doolann Model of Therapeutic Care. ‘Doolann’ is the name of Glenda’s mother and great-grandmother and means strong hands in Nyungah.
The Doolann Model honours the strong women who have cared for children in need. It highlights our collective intent of the many strong hands and relationships that hold close children, young people, carers and families across communities.
